About the Organization
MLP & Associates is a Chartered Accountants firm providing accounting, taxation and compliance services to individuals, firms and businesses in Surat. The firm is looking to add an accountant who can support day-to-day accounting and statutory work.
Role Overview – Accountant
The selected candidate will handle routine office accounting work, assist in tax compliance and support the senior CA team in preparing reports and documentation. Candidates with a strong understanding of basic accounting and taxation will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain books of accounts in Tally and other accounting software
- Record day-to-day purchase, sales, receipts and payment entries
- Assist in preparation and filing of GST returns
- Assist in TDS calculation and returns
- Support in income tax working, documentation and submissions
- Prepare basic financial statements and reports as guided by seniors
- Maintain proper filing of bills, vouchers and client records
- Coordinate with clients for data collection and basic queries
Eligibility & Skills
- Qualification: B.Com / M.Com
- Experience: Experienced and freshers both can apply
- Good knowledge of:
- GST
- TDS
- Income Tax basics
- Tally accounting software
- Ability to work accurately with numbers and meet deadlines
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word)
- Good communication and willingness to learn in a CA-firm setup
Working Hours
- As per office timing, typically 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (as mentioned in the advertisement).
